▪️ Our basic service level provides you with a convenient waste collection solution. Each week, we collect either two 80-liter cans (20 gallons) or two garbage bags (maximum size: 24″ x 36″) per unit. To ensure efficient handling, please ensure that the weight of each container does not exceed 44 lbs.
▪️ Our two-container limit encourages responsible waste management and actively promotes participation in our recycling program. By making individuals accountable for the cost of their generated garbage, we emphasize waste reduction. Kindly note that we strictly enforce this limit, and any refuse exceeding it may not be collected.
▪️ We highly encourage all residents to take full advantage of our comprehensive recycling opportunities, as it typically allows you to easily comply with the two-container garbage limit. However, if you find that you generate more than two containers of garbage per week, please don’t hesitate to contact our office. We’ll gladly assist you in making alternative arrangements.
▪️ To ensure a seamless pick-up experience, kindly have your garbage ready for collection by 8:00 a.m. Any materials set out late may not be collected, so punctuality is essential.
▪️ To comply with our waste management standards, all bins must have a tight-fitting lid, and all garbage bags must be securely tied.
▪️ At Grant’s Disposal Ltd., we operate on a “user-pay” system. If you generate more than two containers of garbage, you’ll be required to use our “tag-a-bag” stickers. These stickers, available for purchase at $2.00 each, allow you to put out additional standard-sized garbage containers on your scheduled collection day. Simply give our office a call to obtain the stickers. Remember, place the stickers on the garbage bag or on top of the garbage inside the can, but not on the can itself. There is no limit to the number of properly tagged garbage bags set out for collection.
📌 Please be aware that recyclables are strictly prohibited from disposal. To discourage improper waste management, we impose a 50% surcharge on any load containing more than 5% recyclables. Failure to comply with this regulation may result in further rate increases or the cancellation of service.
📌 In cases of hazardous conditions caused by snow and/or ice, it may be necessary to cancel garbage collection for safety reasons. If this occurs and your collection day is missed, don’t worry. The collection will resume the following week on your regular day, and for the missed areas, the two-container limit will be waived for the next scheduled collection day.
Lastly, we’re excited to offer you a convenient monthly payment option. You can now pay your bill by setting up automatic withdrawals from your bank account at any Canadian financial institution. To make arrangements for this payment method, please reach out to us.
