Home injection needles can be disposed of with other garbage if they are in a puncture-resistant container. The City of Mission also has a Needle Safety Program including public disposal boxes.
Automotive chemicals, batteries, cleaning chemicals, paint, and fluorescent bulbs need to be disposed of properly at a designated City of Maple Ridge drop-off site.
Aerosol cans, propane tanks, and anything else that may be pressurized can also be dropped off at the designated City of Maple Ridge drop-off sites.
Household electronics can be disposed of with other garbage, but there are also programs in the city to help reduce this kind of waste.
